Welcome, my Hyper Minds!

I wanted to start out by letting you know that I am in NO way a medical professional myself, just a woman going through it. That being said, I wanted to say, that if it is within your means, and you think you have ADHD, I highly suggest advocating for yourself with your medical doctor to get a formal diagnosis. It is a really simple questionnaire you fill out – Yes THAT’S IT! Having a formal diagnosis, even as an adult, can help you in so many areas of life: finding a therapist, starting medication if you want to, having accommodations at work and school, and honestly it even helps when talking with your spouse or family about your spicy brain and why you need to do things differently than they might expect. You can see an example of the ADHD test here: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/tests/health/adhdattention-deficit-disorder-test

I know that this can feel like an overwhelming or possibly unnecessary step, but I promise it is painless and quick, and helps keep your doctor informed on your mental health as well as your physical – it’s worth it! Take care of yourself my friends.
